Role: Creative Production, Styling
Client: Adidas Orginals x Factory International
Year: 2024-2025
Project Overview:
I was one of 20 creatives selected from over 300 applicants in Manchester to take part in Adidas Originals’ Creators Network North, a six-month development program led by Adidas and Factory International. Designed to support emerging talent across the North of England, the initiative offered access to mentorship, visits to Adidas HQ, live briefs, and workshops with leading figures across art, culture, and fashion; including the Head of Education at Tate and a guest talk from IMA Agency among others. I was fortunate enough to recieve mentorship from the head of artist development at Factory.
I was lucky enough to leave with what feel like life long friends and mentors.
The Brief:
Midway through the program, we were given a creative brief from Adidas titled “The Feeling of Fast”. Each participant pitched a concept responding to what “fast” means emotionally, physically, or culturally. The exhibition would tie into Adidas Originals’ activations accross the city for the Manchester Marathon. After presenting our ideas, 5 were selected and we were placed into groups to develop selected pitches further. I was placed into the team behind “Three Stripes, Three Stories“, a three screen a concept exploring the emotional resonance of running.
Final Exhibition - Three Stripes, Three Stories:
The project culminated in a two-day exhibition at Factory International. Our team produced a three-screen video installation that followed three characters; a girl escaping into a dreamlike wonderland through exercise, a boy fleeing bullies, a store clerk using his break to find clarity on a run. The stories were unified through sound design, with an emphasis on breath to simulate the runner’s high and evoke the emotional state of moving at speed. The team worked together to find the cast and locations, I wrote the script for the boy escaping bullies and led styling and production alongside the creative lead across all three films. Ensuring visual consistency, character detail, and atmosphere. Working under the creative leadership of Ella, I created the floor plan and a digital collage for the production team to help align the physical layout of the exhibition with the ideas the team had in mind.

Result:
This project was a major turning point for me as I learned how to move confidently between concept and delivery, developed new skills across creative and production roles, and built a network of collaborators I genuinely admire. Discovering the confidence to take on greater responsibility. The event featured five distinct group responses to the brief, each exploring The Feeling of Fast through different mediums and perspectives.
